Milling / Vertical Machining Centres
A milling machine rotates a multitooth cutter into the work. A wide variety of cutting operations can be performed on milling machines. They are capable of machining flat or contoured surfaces, slots, grooves, recesses, threads, gears, spirals, and other configurations.
All under cnc control, cutting to exacting tolerances.
Datum Engineering GB Limited offer CNC (computer numerical controlled) vertical machining centre in the form of the Haas Supoer Mini Mills. This miller allows for precision rapid production of milled parts. Ideal for protoype making or tool making our Vertical Machining Centres are able to process a variety of materials to include aluminium, steel, tool steels, uddeholm tool steel, stainless steel, brass, phosphor bronze, elkonite, copper, titanium, specialised alloys, graphite or plastics such as nylons, peek plastics or tufnol. Applications include components for automotive and aerospace industries and precision general engineering.
A selection of our CNC Milling / Vertical Machining Centres are as follows:

Hass Super Minimills - Vertical Machining Centre.
The Haas Super Minimills has a working envelope of X 406mm,Y 305mm, Z 254mm.
Capable of 3 Axis high speed machining, armed with a 10 station automatic tool changer, combined with state of the art cad/cam software.
Our vertical machining centre CNC miller, for producing prototypes or tool making can work from plate stock of up to 406mm x 305mm x 254mm in a variety of materials to include aluminium, steel, tool steels, uddeholm tool steel, stainless steel, brass, phosphor bronze, elkonite, copper, titanium, specialised alloys, graphite or plastics such as nylons, peek plastics or tufnol.
